What is Wheatbelt NRM?
Wheatbelt Natural Resource Management (WNRM) is a not for profit organisation leading positive change in the management of the Wheatbelt region’s natural resources.
We work with individuals and groups to protect the land, flora and fauna of the Wheatbelt while working with landholders to help develop sustainable agricultural systems.
Community action, innovation and the creation of respectful partnerships is key to what we do,.
No matter who you are or where you’re from, we welcome and encourage you to partner with us to help protect this unique region on Western Australia.
Our Regional Footprint
WNRM operates within the Avon Valley Basin which extends over 12 million hectares from the Darling Range in the West to beyond Southern Cross in the East, as well as towards Lake Grace in the South and all the way North to Dalwallinu.
Our major population centres include Northam, York, Brookton, Merredin, Cunderdin, Beverley and Wongan Hills.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to lead positive change in Natural Resource Management through the creation of respectful partnerships, innovation and community action.
Our 2027 vision is a “vibrant Wheatbelt community creating healthy environments and livelihoods”
