Funding available for Community Participation in Red Card!

Wheatbelt NRM has secured funding through the Western Australian Government’s State NRM program to support community events under the Red Card for Rabbits and Foxes initiative Grants are now available to help fund a variety of activities aimed at managing feral animals and promoting community involvement.

You can apply for funding to support the following activities:

Feral animal control on your property:

·       Purchase of 1080 baits.

·       Purchase of cage trap(s).

Community events apart of a registered activity on the Red Card website:

·       Event delivery costs, such as catering (note: grant funds cannot be used for alcoholic beverages).

·       Promotion and advertising of local Red Card events.

·       Participant prizes and awards.

Up to $1,000.00 is available per applicant for eligible activites. A selection panel will assess all applications. This funding is open to participants in Red Card events across the South West Land Division, from Geraldton to Esperance.

To be considered for funding, applications must be submitted at least two weeks prior to your event. Please note that funds will not be pair retroactively.

Application Deadline: 4th April 2024.
