5 Years of Impactful Natural Resource Management

This year we have changed the approach to the AGM with a formal AGM being held with Members only to be followed by a “5-year Project Wrap-up” and Presentation on “New Directions” with leading-edge presenter Larissa Taylor, who is a Director of Savoir Consulting. This presentation will be open to all community members.

A formal AGM for registered members will be held from 9.00 – 10.50 am, followed by a community event.

Your registered officer is invited to the Wheatbelt Natural Resource Management Incorporated (Wheatbelt NRM) Annual General Meeting:

AGM commences:     9.30 am

As your group’s registered officer and following the requirements of membership, we need you to attend or nominate a proxy so that we have a quorum in accordance with the Constitution provisions.

If you personally are unable to attend, a Member Proxy Authority form will need to be completed. This allows a Proxy Officer who can be another member or employee of your organisation to attend. You need to ensure that they are fully informed of the motions put forward to vote on your organisation’s behalf. Please email Valetta Roberts at vroberts@wheatbeltnrm.org.au to obtain this form.

You may wish to attend via phone or ZOOM link we can provide either of these options for you.

We need to be advised who will be your registered officer and who else will be attending by no later than Wednesday 18 October.

Please note that this AGM will be a paper-free event, hard copies of the agenda and Annual Report will not be provided, however, the Annual Report will be made available online.

The AGM will be followed by a free public presentation on “5-year Project Wrap-up” and a Presentation on “New Directions” with leading-edge presenter Larissa Taylor.

"New Directions: Agriculture in the Energy Transition, Role of Natural Capitalwith presenter Larissa Taylor. Larissa is a Perth-based sustainability consultant, executive in the corporate agribusiness sector and former CEO of the Grain Industry Association of WA. Larissa will provide an overview and discussion of emerging opportunities to engage with carbon and natural capital accounting and associated projects.

This includes discussions around the emerging global imperative for businesses to evidence their environmental credentials, environmental markets, and the crucial role for Wheatbelt NRM to build a foundation of integrity and maximise genuine landscape outcomes for our unique region. 

Larissa designed and delivered the inaugural TCFD aligned Carbon Neutral Grain Pilot project for growers in the Australian export grain industry through 2020–2022.  She ran the inaugural Agriculture in the Energy Transition the Role of Natural Capital collaboration with NRMs in the Great Southern and is currently working on Taskforce for Nature Related TNFD pilot capacity building with corporates, banks, and research bodies in export-oriented agrifood supply chains.
