This course is for those who wish to gain practical skills in fauna survey techniques and handling native animals. The course will comprise on-campus lectures, workshops on camera trapping and field-based animal surveys. Lectures and theory will commence on 15 September, 2017 at ECU South West (Bunbury) Campus, and field work will be conducted in the Margaret River region.

Cost: $1600 (includes tuition, travel, accommodation and food)

Note: Places are limited to 20 and registrations and payment are required no later than 1 September 2017

Wheatbelt NRM has a limited number of free seedlings for local community members to add habitat to their gardens for wildlife. In return we will ask you to complete a short survey.

These species will provide food and habitat for small mammals and birds, including Carnaby’s Cockatoos, Western Pygmy Possums, Honey Possums and Honeyeaters.
