Churchill Fellowship looking for regional interest

Posted in:
Community Engagement

A Churchill Fellowship can offer a life-changing opportunity to travel overseas to investigate a topic or an issue that you are passionate about.

It offers an opportunity to travel overseas for 4-8 weeks to explore a topic or issues you are passionate about.

In 2020, the Churchill Trust is particularly keen to receive applications from people living in regional and rural Australia, and people involved in any aspect of education, agriculture, fishing and aquaculture, automotive and lost trades, the arts and multicultural communities.

Aside from general fellowships, sponsored fellowships are also available in a range of areas, including horticulture, architecture, health and medicine, disaster mitigation, marine science and dairy.

To help people develop their project ideas and to provide valuable advice on how to apply information sessions will be held  in 20 regional centres around Australia, including:

  • Northam - Thursday, 27 February - 5.30 to 7.30 pm at the Bridgeley Community Centre
  • Karratha - Tuesday, 3 March - 5.30 to 7.30 pm at the Karratha International Hotel
  • Busselton - Thursday, 5 March -  5.30 to 7.30 pm at Abbey Beach Busselton

Over 100 Fellowships are available in 2020 inspired by the motto: “Learn globally, inspire locally.”
