Last year the Northam Scout Group built nest boxes and installed them on their Northam bush block.
This year they are continuing to improve the habitat on site by planting seedlings into cleared areas.
While there the group also checked out the camera footage to see what animals were visiting the site.
Excitingly, one of the most regular visitors to one hollow log on site is a Common brushtail possum – which surprised many locals. The usual suspects (cats and foxes) also made their presence known.
This Wheatbelt NRM project is supported through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
