WNRM’s National Winning Coach

Aboriginal NRM

WNRM’s Project Manager for Works, Aboriginal NRM, Jermaine Davis (aka Bomber) was recently named by the Perth Football Club in their Aboriginal Football Team of the Century. This honour is in recognition of Bomber’s outstanding talent and contribution to the Perth Football Club throughout his playing career and beyond.

To be named in this team is a great honour as many outstanding Aboriginal footballers such as Willie Dick, Troy Cook and Chance Bateman, to name just a few, played football for Perth. It demonstrates that Bomber was highly respected for his playing ability during his playing career with Perth, and is respected for the contribution he has continued to make playing and coaching senior country football, and for the many years he coached junior football.

This acknowledgment follows Bomber coaching the WA State Indigenous Cricket Team to victory at the National Indigenous Cricket Carnival in February this year.

Bomber has been an outstanding role model and leader for the community in the sporting arena, and also in life in general. We are proud to have him at Wheatbelt NRM, where he uses those qualities to lead and mentor the Noongar Boodjar Rangers to restore Country.
