Body:
Come down to UWA’s Farm Ridgefield in Pingelly on April 21 for an exciting field day about the new SWARM Tool for estimating soil carbon and measure the progress of an on-farm bio-amendments trial.
What is the SWARM Tool?
- Estimates soil carbon at the paddock scale without intensive sampling.
- Specifically tuned to the climate and soil influences of the South West based on the globally accepted RothC model.
- User-friendly and Microsoft Excel based.
Dr Jolene Otway and Emeritus Professor Lynette Abbott will be on hand to discuss work going on to estimate soil carbon for South West conditions and a trial of bio-amendments at the UWA Future Farm.
