We are now over 4 months into construction at Lake Ewlyamartup, and 1 month in for Lake Yealering under the Living Lakes – Stage 3 Project. Site conditions have however recently got too wet and JAK Civil has decided to demobilise until later in the year. They will look to recommence in September/October (subject to conditions).

At Lake Ewlyamartup, the construction is over 50% complete. The following progress has been made:

• Topsoil Strip – 100%
• Clearing – 100%
• Main Channel Excavation – 45%
• Bund Construction – 5%
• Structures (Overflow Weir, Control Structures, Culvert) – 5%

Preliminary site preparation, including survey set out and clearing has been undertaken at Lake Yealering. Vegetation clearing is now 100% complete and JAK will be able to commence with construction when they return later in the year.

We are excited to soon be progressing the Activation Planning component of the project. We will be arranging meetings with the local community working groups and the Shires in the coming few months!
