Exceptional projects needed to succeed in State NRM grants program

Sustainable Agriculture

Wheatbelt NRM hosted a community forum last week to hear from the State NRM Office on how to be part of the recently opened Community Stewardship Grants.

Last year competition was fierce with over $40m worth of applications submitted and many excellent projects were not successful.

Tips for those planning to complete an application included the importance of addressing the selection criteria, demonstrating value for money and partnerships.

This year there are two types of grants. Small grants are less than $35,000 while the Large Grants are $35,001 to $450,000.

Applications close on 10 June 2019.

If you are thinking of applying for one of these grants and want to know more, help is available by contacting Wheatbelt NRM’s Regional Agriculture Landcare Facilitator Jacquie Lucas on 9670 3113 or email jlucas@wheatbeltnrm.org.au.
