2019 Community Stewardship Grants – Now open

Posted in:
Sustainable Agriculture

The State NFRM Program Community Stewardship Grants are now open for applications.

These grants support community-based projects that serve to protect and restore the local environment. They are a component of the State NRM Program, an initiative of the Western Australian Government and support the Western Australian Natural Resource Management Framework 2018.

Applications between $1000 - $450,000 are invited.

To ensure our Wheatbelt community have all the information they need we will be hosting a public information session on April 16 at our Northam office.  Staff from the State NRM Office will be providing insight into the grants process and inviting potential applicants to ask questions and test their project ideas.

Last year a number of projects were successful in our region including a community garden in Kondinin and revegetation projects across the Shires of Merredin, Westonia and Nungarin.

If you can’t attend still register your interest with Wheatbelt NRM Regional Agriculture Landcare Facilitator Jacquie Lucas on 9670 3113 or jlucas@wheatbeltnrm.org.au.

Jacquie will be providing information and assistance directly to groups who wish to make an application.

Our aim is to maximise the funding $$ being invested in the Wheatbelt region.
