We Had a Great Time at Dowerin Field Days!

Community Engagement

Wheatbelt NRM was excited to attend the Dowerin Field Days again last Wednesday and Thursday.

Thanks to all the attendees who came through our tent and stopped to have a chat with our staff.

This year we were excited to introduce our cuddly costumed Chuditch and Numbat who had a lot of fun with young and old.

We also had a great turnout for the announcement of our Wheatbelt Youth Environment Photography competition, and would like to thank the Hon Mia Davies for presenting the awards.

We were pleased to see so much interest in natural resource management from people all around the Wheatbelt, especially from our next generation of landholders.

Feral control was something at the forefront of many people’s mind, along with sustainable agricultural practices.

Thanks also to the Wheatbelt schoolchildren who took part in the Activity Trial and visited our tent. Some were even brave enough to hold a live Australian snake!

We look forward to seeing you at next year’s Dowerin Field Days in the NRM Megatent!
