Wheatbelt NRM is collaborating with Enviro-Stories to work with 10 schools in our region, to write a Biodiversity-themed short story focusing on local threatened species and what can be done to save them from extinction. Most recently we’ve been working with students from Hyden Primary School, Avondale Primary School, Pingrup Primary School and Narembeen District High School. The books focus on reducing threats to Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) listed species and the students worked really hard to write and illustrate the books themselves.
