Overview
The Regional Landcare Facilitator (RLF) will provide assistance to land managers, local and regional landcare and farming production groups and community organisations that are working with a sustainable agriculture focus. The role is to help in the building of skills and capacity in the Landcare community in the Avon Wheatbelt region.

The Regional Landcare Facilitator will engage and help develop networks with land managers, local and regional Landcare groups, farming systems or grower groups, and related community organisations to support the community within the region to achieve natural resource management outcomes. The RLF role will focus predominantly on working with community members and groups that have a sustainable agriculture focus.

 

The RLF will:

  • Promote the Landcare ethic and sustainable agricultural practices to land managers
  • Assist Landcare, Grower and community groups to seek funding, membership and resources for NRM activities and to build capacity and skills and promoting their activities
  • Delivery community capacity building activities with a sustainable agriculture focus

The RLF will work with:

  • Local and regional landcare groups
  • Agricultural production Groups
  • Land managers
  • Shires and Government organisations
  • NRM networks
  • Regional community leaders
  • Other NRM organisation
  • Community members
