Noongar Language Specialist

Expression of Interest

 

Wheatbelt Natural Resource Management (NRM) is working on updating its Noongar dictionary for the Avon Wheatbelt.

Wheatbelt NRM is seeking expressions of interest from suitably capable individuals with demonstrated experience, to work with us in updating the Noongar language dictionary.

The successful individual will be expected to:

  • Interpret words as related to the natural environment; and present Noongar language information and pronunciation in a clear and useable format.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and or experience:

  • Skill in speaking the Ballardong Noongar Language; Experience in relating the Ballardong Noongar language; and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • This is a -2 month arrangement, 12 hours per week on a short term supplier contract. The successful applicant will require an ABN and issue invoices for service.
