The Rural Towns—Liquid Assets project was established in 2005 with the aim of integrating salinity, waterlogging and flooding control to the development of new water supplies in Wheatbelt towns. This water resource is then available for purposes such as irrigation of Shire ovals, parks, and public gardens as well as for commercial use.
