Nuffield Australia Farming Scholars – Australia's pre-eminent agricultural scholarship, with $30,000 bursaries for international study. Closes: 16 June 2017.

MLA Producer Innovation Fast-track Program – providing expertise, co-funding and support to innovative producers, early adopters, AgTech entrepreneurs, or future value chain leaders.

SproutX – funding for AgTech innovators and startups to develop and commercialise ideas for the Ag industry. Includes $40,000 capital, mentoring and office space for six months.

Farming Together initiative – opportunities for primary producers to collaborate and achieve farmgate benefits in the market place.

Managing Farm Risk Programme – rebates to $2500 to help farmers prepare and apply for a new insurance policy that assists with drought  management and other production and market risks.

Drought Concessional Loans in WA – assisting farmers impacted by drought to access concessional interest rate loans at 3.05%.

Watering WA Rebates for Farms – to create the actions and infrastructure needed for farms and towns to expand the use of non-drinking water. Opens: 1 October 2016.

Water Innovation Irrigation Grants – for innovative water use in agriculture. Opens: July 2017.

Waterwise Verge Incentive Scheme – encouraging Councils to support the creation of waterwise gardens. Opens: July 2017.

Charitable Recyclers Rebate – funding for charitable recyclers to claim landfill levy rebate and help cover costs of illegal dumping at charity bins.

Lotterywest Heritage and Conservation Grants – helping conserve, protect, explain and share various aspects of our natural and cultural heritage. 

Innovation Vouchers for Great Local Ideas – up to $20,000 for professional services vouchers to develop ideas to market. 

Citizen Science Grants – $50,000 to $500,000 to engage public in science by taking part in scientific research projects.   


State NRM funding - Local community groups can now apply for grants of between $5,000 and $55,000 to support important natural resource management activities in the 2017-18 Community Action Grant round. Closes: 10 July 2017.

Stronger Communities Programme - provides grants of between $5,000 and $20,000 to community organisations and local governments for capital projects. Funding of up to $150,000 in each Federal Electorate will be available in 2017-18. Opens: mid-2017. 

Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal - the FRRR offers several different grants for the community. Grants must be used for a charitable purpose that benefits the residents of Australia's rural, regional or remote communities.

Western Australian Innovation Strategy – up to $20,000 for WA innovators to develop ideas to market.
