Notice is hereby given of the 2020 Annual General Meeting of Conserving the Avon River Environment Inc to be held on Wednesday 21st October 2020 at 10am. It will be held in Enright Park, 2 Fitzgerald Street, Northam (just before the Taylor Street Bridge over the Mortlock River, on the left heading to Goomalling)

An 'Appointment of Proxy' form and the proposed new rules are attached to this notice.

PLEASE NOTE RULE 38:
(2) - A member who wishes to be considered for election to the executive committee at the annual general meeting may nominate for election by sending written notice of the nomination to the secretary before the annual general meeting.
(3)  - The written notice may include a statement by another member in support of the nomination.
(4)  - A member may nominate for one specified position of office holder of the Association or to be an ordinary executive committee member.

A Special Resolution to alter the rules will be presented to the members for adoption at the meeting. The changes proposed will update rules 50 and 60 (use of technology at executive committee/general meetings) to allow for a 'Circulating Resolution' when the committee or general members cannot meet face-to-face. It will also update the links to other clauses within the rules.

Agendas and previous Minutes plus a list of the proposed changes will be sent to members prior to the meeting.

Following the AGM an Ordinary General Meeting will be held to attend to administrative matters.
